NBA/TNT goes Social

This Saturday and Sunday night the NBA and TNT OT EXTRA will give social media fans a way to view their coverage without leaving the keyboard. Fans will be able to login to the web site, then choose their own camera angle and actually provide live comments on Facebook while watching.
This is just more evidence that social media is a force that can not be ignored. Day by day traditional media is trying to find new ways to connect with an audience. During the Super Bowl Twitter users were rating the commercials live. Even though I find this convergence fascinating, personally my need to connect doesn’t outweigh my desire to just sit in the recliner with a bag of Gardetto’s and enjoy the game.
